Loan Amortization
Month-by-month principal and interest.
Loading tool
See how each payment splits between interest and principal. The table is an estimate for a fixed rate and term.
How to use this tool
- Enter the amounts. Fill in principal, rate, term, or prices. Use the same currency throughout.
- Read the estimate. The figures are a simplified model, not a lender or tax quote.
- Compare a related tool. Open amortization, compound interest, or paycheck if you need another view.
Prepayments
An optional extra payment reduces estimated interest and term. Fees, variable rates, and penalties are not modeled.
Frequently asked
Can I copy the schedule into a spreadsheet?
Yes. There is a CSV copy of the estimated rows.
Why does the last row look small?
The final payment is adjusted so the balance hits zero in the estimate.
Does this include escrow?
No, unless you fold those amounts into the payment yourself.
Is this a loan contract?
No. It is an estimate.
Can I model a balloon?
A remaining-balance field after N months is shown. Structuring a balloon needs a lender.
