Paycheck Calculator
Estimate take-home from gross pay.
Loading tool
Enter gross wages and a few withholding knobs. The net figure is a rough estimate. Real payroll uses current tables and your forms.
How to use this tool
- Enter the amounts. Fill in principal, rate, term, or prices. Use the same currency throughout.
- Read the estimate. The figures are a simplified model, not a lender or tax quote.
- Compare a related tool. Open amortization, compound interest, or paycheck if you need another view.
Federal estimate
Taxable wages are gross minus traditional 401(k) minus a simplified standard deduction. Brackets are 2025-style and are not the official IRS percentage method tables a payroll system uses.
State tax
Each state uses 2025-style published brackets or a flat rate, plus a simplified state standard deduction. Zero-tax states stay at zero. City tax, credits, and itemized deductions are omitted. This is still an estimate, not a state return.
401(k) and FICA
Traditional 401(k) percent plus optional extra dollars reduce the federal and state estimates. Social Security uses the 2025 wage base cap. Medicare is 1.45% of gross. FICA is not reduced by 401(k).
Limits
Do not file a return or set payroll from these numbers. Confirm with payroll software or a tax professional.
